Rethink The Runway and Women in Cleantech and Sustainability hosted an evening about keeping fashion in circulation.

If you’d told little Oliver he’d one day help bring a fashion event to life, he would’ve been screaming. In October I photographed Rethink The Runway’s Thrift Flip at the San Francisco Ferry Building, put on with Women in Cleantech and Sustainability and The Living Archive. I started with the attendees, who showed up in some fabulous recycled and vintage looks. Then I got to listen to TheNOBO, Roboro and The Wardrobe Project talk about how they keep clothes in circulation and out of landfills. To finish the night, Jillian Clark led a live sashiko mending workshop, and I spent most of it up close on hands and needles bringing old favorites back to life. Huge thanks to Mira Musank and the Rethink The Runway team for having me.
