Let’s Have a Ball is a Pride exhibition celebrating joy, expression, spectacle, and the many ways queer communities gather, perform, and take up space.
My selections here document the delightfully stupid joy of queer life in San Francisco. I’m drawn to the quotidian display of joy – the type found in bars and back booths, at costume parties assembled with hot glue and intention, on dance floors that dissolve into late nights. Or by simply flaunting an inflatable squid costume (complete with tiara).
